Look we tell them to put on their big boy pants and do it themselves and they did. Admittedly we sent more guys to help with command stuff but its nice to see their Army taking care of shit they should be able to handle.

Iraqi forces backed by U.S.-led airstrikes have retaken an air base from ISIS near Mosul, Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said Saturday.

The Iraqi military and counter-terrorism forces are now in the process of sweeping al-Qayyara air base, about 65 kilometers (40 miles) south of Mosul, the country's second-largest city.
At least 38 ISIS militants were killed in the operation to retake the base, Sabah Nouri, the spokesman for Iraq's counter-terrorism unit, said Saturday on Iraqi state television station al-Iraqiya TV.

Islamic State conflict: Nato surveillance planes to help US-led coalition

It does look like they have taken an interest in eradicating them on their own a lot more recently.

They'll get more help if they stop dropping their weapons and running away like they used to.

Just bomb the Mosul dam, ISIS would be gone tomorrow.
Hell, if they lose I wouldn't be surprised if they do it themselves.

Bomb Mosul dam. Yep, that sounds like a plan.

"In a recent security message, the U.S. government said if the dam collapses, "Some models estimate that Mosul could be inundated by as much as 70 feet (21 meters) of water within hours of the breach. Downriver cities such as Tikrit, Samarra, and Baghdad could be inundated with smaller, but still significant levels of flooding within 24-72 hours of the breach."

The lives of at least 1.5 million people could be at risk
, according to U.S. estimates."

Terrorists would be a lot easier to fight if they all didn't have so many American weapons and vehicles. :hmm:

It is not self hate to acknowledge the things we got wrong that have continued to contribute to terrorism. It is not unamerican to acknowledge that many of the enemies we've fought these past decades (Bin Laden, Sadam, ISIS, the entirety of Iran etc) are in large part of our own making. I feel it is more unamerican to bury ones head in the sand and pretend that these things never happened. It is not so much about making us feel worse about ourselves as much as it is to say that this did not work and continuing the same policies while expecting different results is insanity.

Life of an Iraqi military age male 2003-2013: It's Monday so I'm in the IDF. It's Wednesday so I'm in a provisional militia. It's Friday so I'm an insurgent. It's Monday, look, I'm in the IDF again.

Good one! ;)

Just heard some news that more American troops are being sent in to help secure and harden defenses at the air base. On the face of it, it seems like the logical thing to do.

So since it sounds like a horribly bad idea and a war crime, I assume if Trump wins we will bomb the dam.
