I never understood political talk radio. It essentially boils down to people blathering on about things to people that already agree with what they say. What's the point? Giant bitch session?

God I hope they come to Seattle soon. I'm psyched to find out if this is any good; Franken is a comic (and occasionally political) genius - we have yet to see if he can manage to run a "real" competing radio show.

Thanks for the link, LMK, but this confirms it for me: I just cannot abide "talk radio" in any form, even this form,.

I take my news from as broad a base as possible, so as to hopefully ferret out the truth from all the spin, rumors and slant. I get enough opinion from concisely written editorials and opinion pieces, which have the signal virtue of not blathering on and on, robbing me of up to one full hour (and more!) of my life.

Honestly, I'm a big sports fan, but sports talk radio also makes me want to puke.

Blah, blah, blah, blah . . . and furthermore . . .

i listen to it like a MP3 in the back ground; but i could probably be listening to a much more entertaining Chopin peace.

You can't pick up Portland's 620 AM? If not -they stream too.;)

So far it's quite a yawner.
Right now they have Micheal Moore and he's bleating his lies about Bush being AWOL again.:p Wow - what a great first day for The O'Boring Factor:p

In concept, I like the idea of having a broad spectrum of voices and opinion on the radio. That goes for TV and other media too, however I have no idea how AA will do and haven't really listened to it. I'm pretty sure it'll end up being just another outlet for partisan ideology. No different than Rush, Hannity, Savage, etc. just on the other side of the political spectrum. I sure hope you conservative radio fanboys don't try to dismiss that little similarity. Would you? ;)

The usual hollywood liberal know-it-alls blathering on about things using there vast high school education to tell America how things should be.

Anyone able to hear this over streaming? I am getting DNS errors when I try the link on their website.

After reading your one-way rant about Franken's show being nothing but a one-way rant, I've concluded two things:

1) You should get your own terribly boring talk radio show
2) You frequent this forum in an attempt to relive your youthful days as the schoolyard bully.

;)
