You're right, Air America had financial backing covering the same size losses as Fox had. You aren't too good at math, are you? You're supposed to ignore the zeros to the LEFT, not the right.

I've got a better reason why they went bankrupt.

NOBODY WANTED TO LISTEN TO THAT STUPID SHIT.

Nowhere did I say they had the same loses, but again, if Fox hadn't become profitable by gaining viewers and marketshare they would have gone tits up too. The difference wasn't in the depth of pockets - it was it's business model and market potential. AA failed twice with 2 different sugar mommas. Face it - no one wants to listen to you and your types whine all day. :)

Oh, so your disagreeing with the statement that Murdoch had a lot more money for backing losses for Fox than Air America had by saying no, they had backing "like Fox" wasn't sayiing it was the same.

What youre saying is, you disagree that Fox had more money available for covering losses, but you never said Fox didn't have more money for covering losses. Got it.

I see you stating conclusion - without any evidence. Why don't you research some facts on apples to apples, head to head comparisons and THEN say something, instead of making up facts?

Why don't you find and post a cedible, unbiased report on the reasons for Air America's bankruptcy (while other progressives shows are doing great, including many former Air America hosts),and post that?

Craig how sad it must be in your little world where you think you have all the answers and anyone who disagrees with you is an idiot. How sad it must be that only fringe leftists believe the crap that you do. You need to read a real economist like Thomas Sowell, especially his book Intellectuals and Society. You will find examples of people like yourself(minus the intellectual part of course)and see just how wrong you are.

You lie about my position - the percent that happens keeps going higher than 95%; and I disagree with Thomas Sowell quite a bit.

I've no interest in your ignorance until you read, say, David Brock's "Vast right-wing noise machine", or at least enugh to get a clue before you parrot.

In nearly all your posts here, you insult the intelligence of the person you're disagreeing with in the most elitist fashion possible.

Secondly, no, I have NO interest in reading propaganda of the leftists OR rightists.

The joke is on you, Craig. You post OPINION and PROPAGANDA as proof. Much like your Poll claiming the recent election was a protest for MORE socialist policy from Moveon.org (can you say bias? I knew that you could) this is yet anopther piece of the same pile of crap.

For every book you post claiming a vast right-wing conspiracy and denials of a left wing media bias, I can post books claiming just the opposite.

You see, Craig, OPINION pieces are just that: opinion. And often, they are propaganda. The joke? You eat it like candy and treat it all like a bible.

False. Stirk one.

Secondly, no, I have NO interest in reading propaganda of the leftists OR rightists.

The truth is not leftist propaganda. Calling the truth proaganda is your own idoeolofical error. Strike 2.

The joke is on you, Craig. You post OPINION and PROPAGANDA as proof.[/qupte]

I post the opposite of proaganda for the most part. Your lie is offensive.

Stirke 3. But being the gentle, tolerant progressive, and playing with you, you get 4 strikes under the little girl's softball rules.

Much like your Poll claiming the recent election was a protest for MORE socialist policy from Moveon.org (can you say bias? I knew that you could) this is yet anopther piece of the same pile of crap.

I keep asking people for facts who say this, and haven't seen one. I'd like to hear if ti's wrong.

For every book you post claiming a vast right-wing conspiracy and denials of a left wing media bias, I can post books claiming just the opposite.

You can post some, filled with lies. You can't tell the diffference. Well, you think you can and do it wrong.

Why don't you put up some specifiic points and evidence for them from these book and we'll see who's right? Your type almost never takes up the offer.

You see, Craig, OPINION pieces are just that: opinion. And often, they are propaganda. The joke? You eat it like candy and treat it all like a bible.

Ah, excessive incivility - not just strike 4 but thrown out of the game. No more of your 'post' to stop reading, but that offense means no more post of yours. Buh bye.

The offer above is withdrawn for you, but open to anyone else better behaved.

Craig, could you please explain Rush Limbaugh to us??

Air America was on the air for 5+ years before going under.

It only took Rush 2 years to go from local radio host to the most listened to person on the radio. And he didn't have anyone promoting him left and right. Instead he offered people something that they wanted to listen too.

One reason is because deep-pockets propagandist Murdoch spent years spending big bucks to BUY Fox a market position. He lost money for years, covering all the losses in ways real companies like Air America have no billionares to do for them. Every cable show was paid by the cable companies for its costs; Fox, not good enough to get bought, had Murdoch paying the cable companies to take the show, for the first time in cable history.

All kinds of right-wing propaganda is subsidized. William Kristol's daily posts loses millions, with only 85,000 subscribers, but is subsidized by Murdoch and gets Kristol access tomany shows as a 'pundit'

The right-wing crazy Rev. Moon has spent billions subsidizing the losses on the Washington Times.

Right-wing books are regularly bought in masse by wealthy right-wing tycoons to make them show up on bestseller lists, and handed out for free or near-free to right-wing organizations.

There are others.

Like many media products, with enough money to force it on people, Fox eventually did build its audience and now stands on its own as profitable. No problem it was created as a right-wing propaganda business.

To be fair, I'll note, Murdoch's motive wasn't propaganda - he was just willing. It was money eventually..

so at least rich rightwing crazies are willing to put their money where their beliefs are... your side's rich are all mouth and no skin...

and even better that a-a basically has been stealing money form its supporters and creditors in its insane clinging to life... that's libs for ya...

the nutcases that a-a had made hannity and limbaugh look like ghandi...

Explain what?

IMO, Rush is an evil advocate, and not very honest. But he 'earned' his raitings fairly as far as I know.

Hey, I watched TV once!

:D
TV's for entertainment, not to be told what to think, that's why I never watch Fox News, MSNBC and the like. I guess there are a lot of people who like to be told what to think, no wonder Fox News has such high ratings.

No surprise here. Al Franken was the cornerstone of airamer, they even had troubles when he was there. Then Maddow kinda picked up after AL moved on, but then she went to tv. Airamer just needed to search and hire some red eyed fuming loud mouth lying blowhard, like fox does, if they wanted to remain contenders. There really isnt a vocally insane liberal sector of society to keep something like airamer going, unlike the vocally insane right wing of society. You know... the ones that hang on every spoken word, the same people that voted for Bush in 2004 (and you know who you are).

I wonder how many people watch it for entertainment? Some of these guys are so over the top from the clips I see that it's pretty funny at times. For serious news and commentary though I agree. There are better outlets.

Well there are those Wingnuts like Patsanus who find being told what to think entertaining, it saves them the trouble of having to think for themselves.

LOL @ Craig. You do provide some good entertainment man :)

Air America should have never been on the air. Regardless of my personal views, I like watching/hearing/reading takes from all sides of the spectrum. I tried listening to Air America for a while, but it was truly so awful that I just could not stomach it. Maddow is a perfect example of it -- she's an absolute nutcase, and she's found a very appropriate home with her fellow nutcases at MSNBC.

Good riddance to AA. Unfortunately, you can bet this will be followed by increased talk of government measures to force successful talk radio to include the democrat message.

Bwahahahahahahahaha :D

Sure, only the "right" has the insane fringe, the left has no such thing. Cough *huffington*, cough *dailykos*, cough *moveon.org* cough *salon.com* etc etc etc. Lets face it, people like to flock to the outlets that mirror their personal viewpoint, the left and right are no different in that respect.
