Oh when the Saints, are listening in, oh when the Saints are listening in...how I want to bet on the cheaters, when the Saints are listening in!

Bar them from going to the playoffs this year. Have them play a Cheater Bowl against the Pats instead.

If they did get completely disbanded I would laugh my ass off every time I saw highlights from the 2009 season with saint's fans holding up their "who dat?" signs. Sweet, sweet irony.

Bill Bellichick says, "Welcome to the Club."

I love it. What a trash franchise. As for this one and "oh everyone does it" I don't think so. Not wiretapping and committing Federal crimes. No, I think only the Saints are doing this one. Who the hell would want to risk prison?

Oh. The Saints.

Which makes it worse, because the Saints went 9-7, 8-8, and 8-8 over those three seasons (12-12 at home). If we're going to cheat, at least win!

They did win, you need to keep reading:

In 2002, the Saints compiled a 9-7 record. The team had an 8-8 record during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. In those three seasons combined, the Saints were 12-12 in the Superdome.

The 2005 season remains the infamous one during which the Saints never played a home game in the Superdome due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Katrina. According to sources, that was also the first time Loomis would not have had the ability to listen in on the play calls of opposing teams. That year the Saints finished 3-13.

And you are an idiot if you think the reason the Saints were bad in '05 is because of eavesdropping.

That team was terrible. Benson publicly wanted to cut ties with the state and move the team. They had to set up a base of operations in San Antonio in a few days, had to play a "home" game in Giants Stadium, and then travel between San Antonio and Baton Rouge for other "home" games. And it's not like the hurricane itself affected any of the players.

If I was an NFL team general manager or coach.... I would just make the assumption that no matter where I traveled to, that the communications were not secure.

I bet there is a lot of sudden maintenance going on in stadiums around the country this week with all the NFL owners covering their tracks.

What a bunch of Haters, has anything even been proven yet?

No, of course not... but in case you didn't notice, hating the Saints is the in thing right now. (Especially for all of the still obviously butt-hurt Vikings fans on this board)

Now I'll also add that ESPN OTL does not usually just run with stories without having strong faith in their sources.

We're (Saints fans) just going to have to weather this storm right now and see where everything ends up.

Saints have a good track record about saying they didn't do something only for it to be proven later.

Really? How about laying down some examples of this backed up by facts. For it to be a "track record", it would be multiple things. Post more than one thing... really, do it.

If this is true, Loomis needs a lifetime ban. He may well be facing prison too, so that's a pretty good deterrent... But seriously, what the hell is going on with that franchise? It was fun to root for the Saints when they felt like an underdog story. But now? Fuck that team. I'll root for the Cowboys before I root for the Saints.

Track record doesn't mean more than one time. Track record means, what ever is available in the past. Thus they have a track record of lying about doing things.
