AIM

okay this isnt a big deal just annoying, whenever I close AIM it says this
when closing AIM a message comes "AOL Instant Messanger has encountered a problem and needs to close."

What is the problem, how can you get away from this message?

are you using dead aim or some other add in.. these always caused that problem for me.. if you are chances are is somethings going wrong when dead aim goes to save your logs when you exit.. if not just reinstall aim..

i too have been getting this message for the past 2 months on any computer ive used it on. 3 at home, and countless other at school. I'm not sure how to get rid of it or fix it.

Dump AIM, install Trillian.

Simple problem... you updated AIM through the AIM client and it was corrupted. Try reinstalling the previosu version of aim... none of the new features are worth it anyway.

I've even seen this problem on fresh installs without a previous installation of AIM on the systems.

I too have been seeing this problem a lot. no big deal, just an extra click or key press, but it's still bizarre. it seems to happen on any computer I'm on too...
