AIM send file through router

This has been bugging me for years. Send File and recieving a file from a buddy on AIM doesn't ever work when I'm behind a router. I've set up all sorts of ports for port forwarding and I've got myself as DMZ host right now and still no good. Is there something I'm missing?

What kind of Router are you using? Firmware version etc.

Options > Preferences > File Sharing > Firewall > Outgoing and AOL Proxy Server

Has always worked for me with default setting on my Linksys Routers.

It's your router that sucks, not AIM.

That's what I've got. I'm beginning to think its because of me still using AIM 4.8, because AIM 5+ totally blows. Well except for that I guess.

I use AIM 5.5. 5.9 sucks.
