AIM problem...

everytime i sign onto AIM, it says "AIM service cant be reached". I'm connected to the internet (have DSL), typed in my password and SN right, and yet, it still doesnt go. even AIM express doesnt work, and thats retarded.

a similar thing happens whenever i open up windows/MSN messenger.

I'm not even running any add-on programs, like DeadAIM, AIMutation, Otsego, Messenger Plus 3, etc.


any ideas guys?

are you sure you're connected to the internet?

check for any firewalls?

Ironically, For the first time ever, I attempted to get an AIM username about 2 minutes ago... "cannot find server"
Must be AOL is down??

Reboot.

It happened to me many times. So far, I think the proxy is bad or the host server is bad too.

I end up rebooting to get AIM back on.

Ive tried rebooting and reinstalling AIM, but it still doesnt work...even windows firewall is off, and there is no other program that firewalls my comp. maybe a nice good ol' reformat might do the trick? (well obviously, it would, but i dont want to waste the whole day in reinstalling everything).
