AIM messenger add-ons similar to Deadaim?

I am looking for an AIM messenger add-on such as DeadAIM, but free. The DeadAIM website doesn't support newer versions and I don't know if the owner of the website is even active in selling the program anymore.

Anyways, I want an add-on that is similar to DeadAIM in that it has a log of everything, cloning, add if possible, ad remover.

anyone have any suggestions?
 
Is there a specific add-on to AIM 5.2 or 5.9 that allows logging? I don't want a whole new program like Gaim, but rather just a log manager add-on

I've been using Deadaim + Aim 5.5~ for quite a few years. I remember that something called "Aimutation" way back when might be what you're looking for. I just became accustomed to deadaim, and after having my logs for the past 3 years in deadaim format - I don't want to try and change.
 
I never liked GAIM myself. I was using DeadAim 4.5 with AIM 5.5 for years, but I got tired of not being able to have a conversation with an away up so I switched to AIM 6. It took a little bit to get used to, but I like it more and more. Except for the ads that play music when you accidentally move the cursor over them >:|
 
AIMutation is good...there is something called messenger mate and it basically has all the features you want/need. thats what im using and it was a good buy at $10 last year. my membership expired last month, but thats okay. one forum member is making his own program called vario (http://www.masterjason.com/forum/). try that out!

The ads are the reason I finally switched over to gaim. I liked the layout of AIM 6, but the ads killed it.

Anyway, with gaim now, you can have conversations with the away message up. I can only attest to that with AIM since I don't use any other messengers, but it certainly works. My away message is almost always up.
 
I personally never saw any reason to have conversations with my away message up; nor any reason to go invisible, I find these functions kind of aggravating when someone else uses them, honestly.

So, Aim 5.5~ and deadaim for me.
 
gaim 2.0.0 will be coming out VERY soon. check out their site. they are also changing the name to pidgin.
