I am using this wireless router at home with an XP machine. So far it is running smooth. My only problem is trying to get Aol Instant Messenger features to work. I tried mapping the default 5190 port to my machine but still no luck. Anyone got any advice?

AOL doesn't send out using the login port. It uses port 500. Try forwarding port 500 and port triggering port 500. That should do the trick.

I have a simillar problem, except I cannot login. I have this same router as well. I cant seem to find a way to let this connect, what port does the login use and how would I make it so that I can log in?

I too have this problem. The file transfer isn't to difficult to manage. You can specify what port to use for file transfers so pick a port (I'm using 65500) and trigger it. The login goes to port 5190 by default but that usually isn't a problem for most people. As for direct connect, well that's a whole different ball game. For my experience I can get a DC to work if the person I'm trying to connect doesn't have a firewall or router and they initiate. I can rarely initiate a DC and it go through. I hope that future releases of AIM allow people to specify this to run on a specific port as well. We'll see.
