Heh I can't help to crack up ... he may as well be wearing "I'm ethnic too" tshirt.

edit:
I think he had some voice coaching too, his inflections sound funny to me (english is not my mother tongue)... it's all up and down up and down as if he's reading a children's book.

This guy sounds like a fucking moron. He's talking down to us and coming up with some "you can do it" bullshit. Come on man, tax breaks for housing? Is that all you've got? That doesn't do jack shit.

From Wikipedia:

Piyush "Bobby" Jindal (born June 10, 1971), is the current Governor of the U.S. state of Louisiana. He is also suffering from chronic diarrhea.

I think he was responding to House Democrats, and not Obama, which led to some cognitive dissonance while listening to him.

Yet he's the governor of a state and you aren't.

Independent of his message, I think his speech was terrible. It's like watching a child actor; it's just too obvious they're acting and the illusion is lost.

I'm not saying he's acting, but sometimes when a person is coached too much they lose their own sense of self in their presentation style, imo. McCain suffered from this during his campaign. You can argue Obama's message all you want, but it's his ability to elicit enthusiasm from many of the people that's going to rally people behind him.

Conservatives need a new spokesperson that conveys confidence. I'm sure someone will rise to the occasion. Romney is probably the closest that comes to my mind.

That definitely wasn't the Jindal that I've seen speak before. His mannerisms and voice were all off. Towards the end, he seemed to be getting a little back to himself.

Who ever coached him needs to be battered about the head and shoulders.

He seemed pretty decent on MTP. If they go back to the principles of the party (what they should be) they it'll be neat to watch.

He can't pep me up with a good speech like Obama. There is no way I would vote for him if he were running for president.

You know, he did make a few good points, however, I for one would shudder if the federal government were run like anything remotely similar to the Louisiana government. Screw that. :p

Yeah, his inflection sounded familiar. I couldn't pinpoint it till I saw this comparison.

And the weird thing is I've seen him speak in a much more regular tone. He was trying to folksy it up tonight and I don't think it worked for him.
