I just got done putting together an AI7 w/a 2.4c cooled with a Zalman 7000, an ATI 9700 Pro, 1 gig Mushkin PC3500 Level 1, Seagate & WD 120 gig hard drives, Plextor CDR-W & Sony DVD all hooked to an Antec 400W Smart Fan PSU.
I can't get the thing to boot up. At first, all fans were working, but I got a beeping that I can't remember and no video. The power lights for the floppy, cdr-w & dvd were on, yet when I pressed the eject button on the optical drives, neither would eject. I turned it off, reseated the ram & video & tried again. Same thing. I cleared the bios, then turned it back on, but nothing happened this time. The cpu fan budged, & the light on the motherboard that lights up when powered on just came on for a fraction of a second. I looked to see if I could see anything & noticed an extremely faint beep that sounded like a European police siren.
Any ideas? I'm stumped!
If anyone knows what's going on & would let me call them, i'd appreciate that in order to expedite this matter.
