Ahnold goes Gay and Democratic.

More proof Schwarzenegger is a moderate

His economic policy and social policies have been great so far.

I guess he has given up hoping to be President and is ready to get down to real work. His 4 ballot initiatives weren't moderate but I think Ahnold is basically a good guy who wants to do whats best for Californians. Hopefully he is on the right track now.

In my church we hold people under the water till it's obvious they believe. Something like that happened to Arnold.

He may not be the most liked guy at the moment...but it takes good leaders to make the tough decisions.

I admire leaders who are willing to get stuff done, even if it means getting your hands dirty. I fully expect my elected officials to get work done...not just stay popular.

Bull. He cowed down on his incredibly MODERATE initiatives and grabbed his ankles for the Unions. He's a FAILURE as a governor and I'm ashamed I voted for his sorry ass. All he's proven is that his tough talk was nothing but TALK, and even when the Unions were LYING, MISLEADING and DUPING Californians into voting FOR the Status Quo and AGAINST change, Arnold was too PUSSY to fight them on it.

Fvck Arnold. He's lost my vote.

even if they do the wrong thing? i expect my elected officials to know when they're digging a ditch for themselves and climb out. barring that, it'd be better if they did nothing. on they other hand, you couldn't pay* me enough to be a politician.

*unless its a really absurd amount

I would be more upset at the talking GOP heads in Cali that failed to back him up.

No...I'm just saying there are some unpopular choices to make that will in the end make lives for many people better. Of course there are unpopular choices that make people's lives worse...but imo in the case of Arnold, he is on the right path.

Arnold made a genuine attempt against reform, but by knocking heads with unions that are politically very strong in California...Democrats bitch about the Republican spin machine, but the campaign against Arnold's initiatives was nothing more then a smear campaign that pandered to a generally uneducated and uniformed voting populace.

So Arnold has to throw his opponents a carrot and work towards compromise...isn't that what democracy is about? I think Arnold is genuine and honest, and has a concept in mind for the best interests of California...what he is learning is that it is far easier to sway people through compromise then an all out assault.

Arnold's political star keeps rising?--just occassional eclisped by his enormous ego.
How quicky we forget about the bribes--oh sorry campaign contruitions.--I stand corrected.

A man whose image is all tough talk and girlie men insults that now backfire on him. Little like Ronald Reagan before him.
Ya I know the senility I say.

How can he look at himself in the mirror without being blinded by his own bull?

He is finding that Califorians don't always buy movie scripts either. Guys who carry coffins on one shoulder and
have a machine gun in another hand are simply are not real. Corny dialog no longer works.--nor is it an answer to
genuine political problems.-----but what happened to Jese Ventura anyway?

You don't live here. Schwarzenegger sucks. He's as lame and corrupt as any politician in California history. He ran against Grey Davis's solicitations of money from "special interests," and promised he wouldn't take any because he was already wealthy enough.

In his short term in office, the whore has already taken in more money from special interests than Davis did in his entire career. :|

You know about as much about CA as you do most other topics, jack sh!t. Go troll back at your freeper hangout.

Arnold blew it, he has no chance at re-election despite what his new handlers are telling him. I hope he can turn things around, but he pretty much burned his bridges with voters here in CA.

I so hate it when he makes the news. One day he'll drop a one-liner he's famous for and my eyes will roll and become permanently fixed facing my brain. Not looking forward to it.

Eariler the Wikipedia article on Arnold gave actual figures of how much money Arnold has taken from special interest groups, I beileve it was three times as much as Gray Davis.

California got pwned.

Given that Arnold's most famious movie line is "I'll be back"

Now that will soon be up to voters.

His great hope may be the incompetence of the opponents who were and remain hopeless also.

But if he collects a felony or two we may be able to deport him back to wence he came.

But still --only in California or Texas can they stoop so low.

uh... who are the democrats going to put on the ballot to run against arnold?

I don't see anyone winning with the exception of feinstein or someone with some political popularity.

Arnold isn't doing bad, better than Davis, and better than any other democrats would've done, IMO. It takes someone like him to piss off both of the parties.

What's he supposed to do? Pay them back? Being offered special interest money doesn't have to mean you follow along.

We should just nuke the state for having such poor leadership, eh?

Haven't you heard? Rob Reiner and Warren Beatty are going to run against Ahnold.
It will be the perfect Hollywood election. You can choose between the Action Hero, the Romantic Lead or the Sit-Com Star.
Just what old Tom Jefferson (the one from the Constitution, not the Movin' on Up t.v. show) had in mind. 🙂
