You could say they are an ultra ultra ultra orthodox sect which believes that Israel should not exist until the Massiach (Messiah) comes down personally and establishes it. They use a different interpretation of some Bible passages than most Jews and Christians use.

They see the current Israel as an affront to God and therefor find a kindred spirit in Ahmadinejad.
