I've been banned from two of my favorite servers in the past two days, because people think I'm cheating.

Just because you're a newB and can't take the heat, doesn't mean you have to ban me. have NEVER even touched a cheat or hack ... Guess it's time to find some new favorite servers. *sigh*

I had the same problems. I haven't played CS since I was banned from three of the Purdue servers.

sucks to be you 🙁 The server I play on is close, always packed, and I know everyone and everyone knows me. I've gone 30-1 a couple times and no one accused me cuz its just a hot streak that happens every so often
 
I think the accusations of cheating are even worse than the cheating. It seems that whoever had the most kills last round gets accused of cheating.
 
well at least thats one less n00b server to play on

this is what you get for being too good.

instead, you should of remained humble, kept your kill score down, and assisted the newbie teammates and let them have all the kills. when you make your whole team better, this redefines the meaning of a "good player".
 
Well its not just killing streaks ... pulling off 3 kills with one de clip from long range (2 headshots, did this today 😀) while on the run tends to make people question you. Cheating has ruined many CS servers. There are still a few good ones out there, but for the most part its a bunch of whiney little freaks yelling "OMG CHEATER, you shot me and I died!!! OMG WTF?!!"

I'll kill a couple people in a round and without fail a person with a horrible record starts complaining that I am cheating because he couldn't kill me.
It is something we all have to deal with now.

It really isn't that expensive to get half life... what kind of deal are you expecting? $5?
 
yea 5-10, it happens sometimes. i missed the last chance in nov of ocurse😛 bah

paying for something twice is harder to do. then again i have other games i havn't finished, which makes me feel less like wasting a lot of money on another game.
 
that's why all the REALLY good players RARELY play on pubs... i haven't played on a pub since.... a long time... well... that and i quit a long time too 😛 i used to be good until people started haxoring and stuffs... then i just quit

Hah. I just got back into it this week (last time HL was on here was November 2001). I got one of my friend's cd's, and since my legit key wouldn't authenticate, I got a friend from Sierra to get me a CD key.
 
I play T2, and the way it is built, it i impossable to hack without actully hosing the game on your machine. even so, I have still gotten kicked from servers because I get headshot after headshot. Heaven forbid it be because I aim.

CS has wrecked most of the online games out there because cheating is so rampant on Cs. I get accused probably 2x an hour for cheating in a game that it is flat out impossable to cheat in.

eh, this is the only game i've tossed that i regret. well.. back when it first came out, there was no real reason to keep it around after u finished single player. esp if you had dialup, online play = impossible.
 
I think I've only been banned once or twice. I'm probably an average player, play to have fun rather that to compete. This ban happened about two years ago when I first started paying CS. I had been playing on this sever for a couple of weeks because the people there seamed to be decent people and not the l337 kiddies that predominate CS. Also I had a 20-25 ping 🙂

So anyways I was a T on Militia and it was me and one CT left. I was in the kitchen of the house guarding the hosties. I hear him go up the front ladder, drop over the edge then come down with a splash in the hot tub. Then I hear the door open and he comes running all the way to the corner then decided to walk to the back door.

The whole time I am following his footsteps and progress, tracking him by the noise he was making. So now I know that he is coming back door so I crouch right in front of the door with an AK. Counting down in my head the amount of time it takes to walk from the corner to the door I get ready. Turns out the CT was using a colt and since those things clip right thru doors, I obviously know he is right on the other side of the door. So naturally I hose the door and kill him.

Next thing I hear is OMG he is hacking! And then I get banned. I go to the clan's web site to post a complaint and the resident uberleet player of the clan, the guy who banned me, told me not to "lie" about wallhacking because it was so obvious. I explained the whole thing but it got me no where. Funny thing is, I went back to the web site a few weeks after that to try and plead my case again and the message boards were filled with complaints from all of the former regulars who were banned by this guy. Within the span of three weeks, that server went from being one that was full 24/7 to being totally dead. It never recovered lol.

 
Well thats what you get for playing on a n00b server lol 🙂

Play on above-avg servers and you should be fine and maybe you wont be owning ;-)
 
Can someone tell me how to cheat in CS? I know its immoral and whatnot, but I have never been able to do it. I am not a newbie, but I hear all these people talking about cheating, but I have never been able to find anything that does that. A little help? I just want to see what its like.
 
I'm still amazed that people still play that out there... I would have figured by now most people would have moved on to one of the newer games...
