It's not THAT bad yet. It's just time extremely time consuming. The labs take up a lot of time too! My sociology class is also extremely time consuming. Trig is much harder than both and it feels like I have had no time to study for Trig. Infact, I'm failing Trig right now. 🙁

What part of trig is difficult?

All of it. The teacher is horrible and we only meet twice a week (tues and thurs) for 50min. It's no where near enough time to learn anything and I usually forget everything over the weekend. I've been trying to learn from the book but it doesn't teach the types of problems that are asked on the test.

No. I didn't do homework in HS.

They teach trig in college? I thought that was a middle school course? 😕

stfu.

Shawn, my advice would be to not blame the teacher. Teach yourself, do you homework 2-3 times. Practice..practice...practice. Make it a goal to spend at least 90 minutes a day on the material. Time yourself. If you do well in trig you will do well in calc.. and so on.

Yep. MAC1114 ANALYTIC TRIGNOMETRY. It's only worth 2 credits. I took it as a filler and my advisor recommended that I take it before Calculus. Now I'm failing it and it's going to kill my GPA. Shoulda just skipped it and took Calc. :|

Yea, basically I'll have to teach myself. There is so much memorization though. One example would be: Sin (T+ß) = SinT Cosß + CosT Sinß. Then once you figure out what those are you get stuck with numbers like (v2/2 * v3/2) + (1/2 * v2/2). Since we're not allowed to use calculators it's such a pain in the ass. Luckly my friends who are taking it are having trouble too so we're all going to study together and hopefully teach each other.
