Ahhhh...

After 3 weeks on the road traveling and driving crappy rental cars, I finally got to drive my car again today...beautiful day, windows open...if only their were mountains nearby. This is what makes me love cars.

M3.

Yes it does rock, coming back from weeks of travel driving around places I don't know in slow economy rental cars, etc

First thing I look forward to getting off the plane is getting home and starting up the Cobra, melt in the seat hearing and feeling the idle as I wait for the temp gauge to start moving, couple revs to rattle the neighborhood, and just aimlessly cruise. The smell of Alcantara, rich exhaust fumes, cruising in 4th and not having to downshift or floor it to get moving, windows down, even just sitting at a light completely blissed out to the rumble and vibration on the engine loping like relaxing in a jacuzzi. Mmmmm

I wish there was a twisty fun road in S.FL 🙁
Seriously. I went into withdrawal when I moved here. I take a longer route home from work because there are two turns I can carry some speed through, but they're just right turns so those aren't even twisty.

Back to one of the great havens of twisty roads: North Carolina.

Totally understand! When I lived in apartments and owned a 'lesser' car, travelling for business was fun because of nice hotels and rental cars. Nowadays, it's not that much a treat. Admittedly, I still enjoy sampling different rental cars, even crappy ones.

Audi wasn't it?

I didn't know you were in Ft Laud Pete. I'm leaving Boca and FL altogether in 8 days.

Just moved to this area for work. Not sure how long we'll be around (at least a year). Of course I've been traveling almost the whole time since I've been here, but I hope that slows down after the new year..we'll see.

I'm sure the Cobra sounds amazing.

Hot car:

cruising the beach > cruising mountains if chicks are in your liking.

Reverse for spirited driving or cowboys....although I'd rather have a flatish track than up and down...shit going downhill with too much power will have you flying off the mountain.

roads are not equal to tracks mang.

try again

Let me help you since you only drive your South Florida car online...

I said...

There are [roads]....Moroso [TOO] and also a ton of [TRACKS]

most here cry like little babies driving hard on the road.

You do nothing though

To the OP, I know how you feel. Was in Asia for a couple of weeks and the only cars I got to ride in were Toyota Crowns (taxis), max speed 100kmh (~60mph). Also, it seems like nobody in Asia knows how to detail a car. Even fancy Lambos had swirl marks all over.

My Acura is very modest but it is *my* car and the first time I saw it after coming home I was amazed at how clean it looked. When I stepped in and took a whiff of that fresh leather smell I started giggling like a school girl. You don't know what you have until you lose it, that's for sure.

Hot girls are to my liking, that's one of my motivations for running Las Olas and then along the beach nearly every day I'm home. That being said, I don't cruise with my car to pick up chicks. I drive to enjoy, and mtn roads are so much more fun in a good car where you're not hitting a stop light every few hundred feet.
