ahhh!! win2k folder permissions hell!

i started playing and and.. i screwed everything up. i fixed most of the folders but some files i cannot even regain access to anymore!! is there a setting to reset all folder permissions?
 
Are you using the administrator account you created when you installed windows?

I guess I should ask you what OS are you using and is this your home PC?

Depending on your account you should be able to go to the security tab in the properties page for the file or folder, then click on advanced-->then owner and you should be able to change the ownership of the object which will then allow you to change any other attribute.
