Man.. I find what cell phone service I am going to use, but then I have to pick a freaking phone! With so many choices, I feel that my mind is going to explode.

Here is what I can choose from..

I get $140 off any phone so price really isn?t an issue. Right now I am stuck on the Motorola Timeport with the color display. Is there some cool stuff I can do with it or will I be screwed? I am talking about getting games and ringtones, and other worthless stuff that will cost me a bundle..

Any input on which I should go for?

(and no flames on choosing Sprint.. I have my reasons..)

The new Timeport with teh active organic display is nice, my friend has one. Very crisp and clear display, but no, you can't get ringtones and games on that phone. (I don't believe so, at least)

You should look into the newest Sanyo SCP-5000, if money is really no objective. Has a 256 color backlit screen, along with games. You will have the hottest cell around, guaranteed, and it's not even a Nokia. :)

Hope this helps a little, unless my new suggestion throws you off. ;) Good luck with your decision.

Samsung Uproar or the Sanyo 5000. Sprint users are lucky, they get to have IMO 2 of the coolest phones on the US market.

The Sanyo 6000 is pretty nice too. My friend has the 6000 and it is really compact and light. Check out the dimensions on it. 0.39 inches thick!!

Do you want a good phone that works well? The Denso TP 2100 and 2200 are great. Lots and lots of features. The cheaper TP 2100 is newer than the TP 2200 and the speakerphone actually works a little better on the 2100, but the 2200 has a 6 line display and a headphone jack.

The website says out of stock. WTF? The sprint stores probably have them. The TP 2100 is also available at Best Buy. Get either and you won't be disappointed.

EDIT: I don't think you can get games on these, but you sure can get (and compose) ringers.

What about the Sanyo 4500? Anyone ever try that one?

What I am looking for: a good cell phone with good reception. Reception is the most important bit..

i like the tp 2100 and 2200. and i think that the samsung 8500 is nice too

btw..the Wiz has the Motorola V.8162 for $200 and you also get a 50 rebate(i think). sprint used to sell that phone for $400 until last week. that's why it's sold out cause the price is lowered

yeah, the Nokia 8260/8290/8860/8890 series are nice. very small. sometimes too small.

but definitely not as high-tech or feature-filled as the samsung/sanyo's with LCD.

I think I know why (won't be using it all).. but why from your POV?

And I think I have decided this:
I dont want to browse the web on my phone. I am on the net long enough as it is. I want a phone that has:

1)Good reception!!!! This is a must have
2)Don't want flip face? Does it get annoying to have to open a phone all the time to look who is calling you?
3)Ease of use.

Besides for the flip part.. I think the color timeport fits that bill.. yes?

Those are GSM phones - won't work on Sprint. For GSM, I really like the Nokia 3390 :)
