Purchased 16GB ram for my new PC with a $20 rebate on Dec 17th. Today i decide to go fill out my rebate forms and sure enough, the rebate Tigerdirect was advertising with my item in mid-december was only valid through 11/30.

Amazingly enough, the google cache of the page still shows they advertised it as expiring on 12/30.

On hold with them now, i thought Tigerdirect fixed all of these rebate problems?

Tigerdirect did that to me with a motherboard at the end of 2011. The rebate was actually for a different MSI board. Tigerdirect basically told me 'tough shit'. American Express on the other hand got me me $30. I just sent them documentation (a printout of the webpage advertising the rebate in big letters).

That was the first time I purchased something from them and after that incident, it was the last time as well.

TD has a longstanding reputation for being shady because of this kind of stuff. I would never shop there, a tiger does not change its stripes (nice pun hah?)

Oh, and don't forget to file complaints with the BBB and the local AG's office.

I haven't shopped at TD in forever, they burnt that bridge with me years and years ago. I don't even go to their site anymore.

That's exactly why I will never order from tigerdirect. They're just too shady.

Haven't shopped there since they pulled some stunts with rebates and such a long time ago. Fool me once....

I ordered 2 or 3 things from them in the last year with rebates. I got all of them. That is what got me my 560ti 448 core for an amazing $158 shipped. Still a dang good price!

I did when they told me to piss off when I purchased something advertised with a rebate and the rebate didn't actually apply for the product. I won my dispute through AmEx and got me me $30 back (what the rebate was for).

I remember a few years ago an exec or manager posted here in an effort to improve customer relations and included his email/phone number for people to contact him if anyone had any problems with their customer service.

I'm assuming he won the lottery soon after because he disappeared faster than a fart in the wind.

Simple solution: ALWAYS read the rebate before purchasing the product. Never lost a rebate of the hundreds that I've done. Even received one more back than I have filed (received 2 back for the same rebate with FIVE years between the 1st and 2nd).

I have had any rebate issues with TD, knock on wood.

Last week, I received 2 $20 AMEX gift cards for the Black Friday sale of two popular Xbox games. Very fast. Ahead of promised schedule.

Haven't had any issue with TD but I do know they were shady in the past. They are one of the last few e-tailers that offer no tax to CA.

I've redeemed quite a few rebates with Tiger Direct, and I've never had a problem. In fact, I sent two out the other day, and I have another that I'm still contemplating. I got the Halo 4 for $20 deal, but the idea of cutting into my game's paper insert makes me cringe!
