Cliff Notes:
(1) Bought new huge monitor
(2) Set it up and it's too bright
(3) My eyes are burning
(4) Tried playing with the brightness, changing the contrast, and turning off the light in front of it and one behind it (it's glossy).
(5) I've not installed the proper driver yet
(6) What's wrong

Spark Notes:
(1) How do I fix my monitor?

Oh, and if you're interested in a good deal on a pretty monitor.

Pretty inadequate information for general hardware or video forum to help. I recommend that you post this in the appropriate forum with more details about your problem... -Anandtech Moderator DrPizza

Turn down the brightness and contrast on the monitor and in the driver settings. I've mine set to negative numbers in the driver.
