Ahhh...it's good to see tax dollars hard at work

They of course spend our tax dollars trying to convince the Amish to take food stamps even though thier way of life does not permit it......

Federal Government does not pay attention to the states.

State government does not pay attention to the locals.

Amish or not, the whole concept of spending taxpayer money to get people to accept free (taxpayer provided) stuff strikes me as stupid.

If they didn't make the Amish aware of the program (whichBTW SOME of them DO PARTICPATE IN) and they showed up at the Doctors office sick and malnurished you'd ridicule the stupid libs for not trying to help them.

So your point is??

well, first of all site proof please....because if I am wrong, then the state is wrong because thier whole point of this project is that the Amish are unaware that the option is there.

So if you are saying that they do participate, then the waste of money is even more evident.

I am not ridiculing one party or the other...I am shoiwing how stupid people are in general, it does not matter what party it is. We are not talking about monkeys here...the Amish are an intelligent life form that understands the concept of malnutrition. If they bring thier child in who has refused food, or had not eaten for a long period of time for whatever reason. it is not the fault of any politician or goverment agency, it is the fault of the parent or guardian.

The Amish are a closed commuity, they take care of themselves and when one family has a hardship, other families are more than willing to jump in and help them out.

That is thier way of life. That is why they do not want this type of assistance from the goverment.

I've yet to see any malnourished Amish, to tell you the truth.

Well, if you've ever been to an Amish Bakery, you could understand why.

I'd put on a lot of weight if I visited frequently
