AHH my vid card is bad, what do i do??

HI guyz

I just ran Burnintest V3.2pro

and i got 19562497 errrors. video memory corruption.

what can i do to fix this???


It is a radeon 9700pro

right now, there is a big black line next to my mouse pointer, i was like, what is this.

i have tried a tons of things i could think of to get rid of it, changing mouse theme and such, but it wont go away. that y i decided to run burnintest and i got all these vid erroers.

i'm freaking out here.

The second you removed the stock heatsink on it you voided your warranty.

Just curious, But was this the result of overclocking it a little too far?

It is not very ethical for you to do so because you are the cause of the faillure.....(those zalmans are very tricky to install & easy to mount improperly & could leave a small gap between sink & core).

But if you still have the original heatsink you could always reattach it & then try to RMA it.

That sucks don't know if you put the heatsink on. But I don't understand wanting to overclock fast cards. If you were trying to with the heatsink change. I can see overclocking a 9500 series.

Viper96720: The only reason I have the Sapphire 9600 Pro Ultimate (heatpipe as standard) is the noise, or lack thereof. Believe me, this thing doesn't overclock that well, but I don't care

i did not overclock the card.

I dont even know how to if i wanted to.

I got this card for Codabu.

I looked in the trade forum yesterday and he has had problems with other traders too.

but being that i got this card 3 weeks ago, i dont thik anyone can help me =/

I wish i know about vid testing when i got this.

now i learned my lesson, dont buy used motified vid cards.
