The computer in my sig started making a strange noise every ~4 sec. It makes a noise like a beep when it's plugged into the mobo (the case speaker) and a different noise when it's not plugged in. It's only when it's powered on, and it's driving me fvcking INSANE. Please help before I tear my ears out!

Check the mobo's manual, beeping from the pc speaker is generally a sign of problem, probably overheating CPU. Is the fan on the HSF working properly, and what temp is your CPU at?

25 C. It's not exactly a beep, though. t makes the sound even when the mobo isn't even plugged into the speaker.

The manual should mention something about beeps, they are usually meant to notify you of an error or problem, and the manual should tell you what it means.

What mobo/system config are you using, and is everything on the mobo seated correctly? Perhaps try removing everything and power up the board without anything on it and see if the problem is one of the cards/chips. Just a few thoughts.

Their may be a speaker onboard your Mainboard... check all the bios settings and check hardware monitor to verify everything is in correct order. Check to make sure it is not a fan. MY old Vid card Geforce256 DDR made a noise like that.. the FAN was shot.. so I took it to CompUSA, and got my Geforce 2 GTS :) Just check your case out slowly to make sure everything is in proper order.

It's not a beep like I said, Sometimes if I leave my system on for a while with the SOUND, and then power off it will not start again. It says my config in my sig. I think it has something to do with my mobo talking.

Why don't you remove the side panel with the computer on, and try to listen for the source. I had something similar and finally figured out that the small fan on the PIII processor was misaligned or something and was making a weird noise. Only thing to do was replace it.

lol, Yah it attempts to talk on bootup to tell you if something is wrong with it. I can't really understand mine. Still haven't figured out what the sound was. I know that it is coming from the speaker in the case, Though.
