hey I need some help i have an error on my xp which makes using it.. difficult, now, what I want to do is install my old western digital caviar 33100 in my new computer it has about 3.1 gigs on it, and use it to run the operating system, so I could be able to format it, and install the operating system without losing any thing else on my 2 other drives, now my question is.. would I set this up in my computer as my master hardrive and my 20 and 60 gigs as slaves.. or would I leave the system as is, place it in to the computer hook it up, format 95 off of it, and then reinstall xp onto it.. but how would I get xp off my secondary drive? the 20 gig that has xp on it ?

Format it, Set it as master, set it as your primary boot drive in the bios. Install XP.

Unless it is a 7200rpm 3 gig drive, you will notice a slow down in boot times, so it isn't worth the effort at all.
