Ive got 18 hours of flying coming up, I need to figure out how to hack into the aircraft enternaiment so everybody can enjoy ponies with me...

I've been watching season one again to pass the time. Kind of starting in the middle and working my way out. Don't care what anyone says, Feeling Pinkie Keen is still an excellent episode. I hope that Ponies: The Anthology II or something else of potential high entertainment (a new Friendship is Witchcraft episode perhaps, although the newest was weak) comes out soon. Need to catch up on a month's worth of missed DrawFriends as well.

for you pony folks in the socal area, AM2 convention next weekend in Anaheim will have two pony voice actresses (Andrea Libman and Tara Strong) attending. think there's some other pony related activities/panels too.

It's a free convention, but purchasing a "passport" gets you access to the Guest of Honor meet and greets and gets you in the preferred line for other events. http://am2con.org/paid-pass-events/

My Little Pony: Voice Acting in the Fandom

Equestria LA presents: Voice acting in the fandom! Voice actresses from various popular brony animations and parodies will answer questions and give tips on how to voice your favorite ponies. Presenters include Rina-chan (APPLE/DRESS/MAGIC.MOV, Fighting is Magic, Message from Twilight Sparkle), Erica Mendez (Epic Cupcake/Pie Time, Starscream vs Rainbow Dash) and Hnilmik (Fighting is Magic). They may even answer questions as Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity!

Never seen Friendship is Witchcraft, what else have I missed while I was gone?

Friendship is Witchcraft has been around for a while now. Watch it in order; the first episode isn't as great as the following four, but there's actually a pretty solid chronology to it as it progresses, and some of the jokes are pretty clever. I think I like 'Dragone Be Gone' and 'Cute from the Hip' as much as any Friendship is Magic episode.

Otherwise, I dunno. There's these Nintendo song/Pony crossovers, although they aren't all excellent (but I love Pinkie's Adventure). I'm usually not into short crossover clips where there just overlay some pony scenes over another cartoon or movie or whatever, but
has some really good ones.

I watched them all as soon as I saw you post. There's just six of them yes?
Worth the time spent watching, more entertaining than many movies today and totally free.

Ive been harassing somebody with MLP for a while, but after showing him episode six with the anime jokes he had to go watch the rest of them from the begining (hes an anime nerd). He wont admit it, but I bet hes watching MLP now too...

Friendship is Witchcraft is pretty great, I've watched them all a few times now and have the songs on my phone.

I also really like the Rainbow Dash Presents series. They are hilarious fanfic adaptations with some great art and the most recent one even has a song.

I just noticed, we have the highest bid on Humble Indie Bundle. GO BRONY!

Figured Id send them some more of my money too...for each game 10$ to developers, 5$ to charity, and 1$ to the site. I think I've bought each bundle they've had. Its good stuff (though several repeats).

Can someone convince me to watch this show? Apparently has good reviews, complex stories and humor, but I can't bring my self to download a single episode.

I thought about it, but it seems the only remaining option is hugs. LOTS of hugs.
Oh and rainbows.

If you decide to watch an episode, don't go in with too high/unrealistic of expectations. Complexity isn't really a main selling point, except in that it is more involved story-wise than your average mindless children's cartoon. I guess in some ways I like what it doesn't have, due to the restraints the franchise and Y rating inherently impose in it. The writers are forced to think outside of fart jokes and let's-pick-on-this-character-for-ten-minutes jokes, and since they try end each episode with a happy moral, there is the requirement of writing with an obstacle and goal in mind, even if they are often simple ones. In spite of the usual consequences of such limitations, they still manage to make it funny and not mind-numbingly preachy (usually; there are exceptions). I dunno, I guess an easier way would be to think about the mix between drama and humor of Hey Arnold! (assuming you've watched it) and replace the gritty realist back-setting with cute fantasy.
