Ahem... (ponies)

The new episode has to be one of my favorites. It's got my favorite pony and time travel, what's not to like?

Dammit, I was hoping for some slight variations in the second loop. Or maybe Data would show up and start seeing the number 3 everywhere.

Oh well. 🙂

I was pretty disappointed with the new episode. I don't mind the exaggeration of character flaws for the most part provided the humor and entertainment value is still there, but this whole "Lists of lists" and "Schedules of schedules" schtick is feeling really old, and I don't remember them even using it once in season 1. She's the most developed, interesting, and all around best pony, and they should be able do to better than this. The intro was awesome and if moral means they kill the quirk then good, but otherwise I didn't get a whole lot from it. The canon existence of Cerberus and Tartaus was pretty awesome though, and I liked everything Pinkie Pie did. But definitely one of my least favorites of the season so far.

Yeah, though I did like the "triple check the checklist to be sure we didn't miss anything when we double checked the checklist" bit.
We'll see what they do with season 3. With the production cycles the way they are, it'll be awhile for stuff to trickle back to the stuff that shows up on TV...assuming Tara Strong's Twitter antics don't cause issues at Hasbro. :awe:
(Not to say that I disapprove of said antics.)

"And I woke up from an ice cream dream for this."
:hmm:

Time loop shows are fun sometimes. Future episode thought: Bring back Discord, who would probably have fun screwing around with a little causality loop. (Or for god's sake, just have more Discord episodes. Bonus points if Patrick Stewart voices a character too.)

Yeah, I didn't mind it in Lesson Zero. In fact, I think it's still my favorite season 2 episode (although The Last Roundup comes really close). But since Twilight was among the least featured of this season, I really want some some new developments with her (although at least the finale promises to do so).

lol, yeah, I just saw the Twilightlicious thing last night and had it stuck in my head all morning, and the disclaimer on that video seemed... tenuous. My first thought was "Why would he announce it like that, admitting to working on a video a few hours earlier, with the potential problems it could cause?" but I hadn't seen all the other stuff she had posted in her Twitter.

Newest episode was also a disappointment. I find it odd that the mane six are the cause of Spike feeling inadequate and how at no point do they appear to realize it. The only time anyone feels remorse is when Spike announces how he loves hanging out with the dragons, at which point Twilight feels terrible for giving him encouragement in the first place.

I was also disappointed by it. Spike never really found about himself, did he?

New episode was awesome. It's funny how I gained more insight into the relationship between Twilight and Spike in a few brief jokes at Fluttershy's expense than I did in all of the previous episode. The episode also further established Fluttershy as suffering from childhood trauma and battling unending depression.

Had low-ish hopes for the new episode, but this was better than I could have imagined it being. Noticed quite a few puns and other more subtle moments of wit, and I love how some of the gossip stories pick fun at bronies' interpretations/corruptions of various characters (I mean, that Princess Celestia feature bordered on Molestia :awe: ). Actually, I thought it was hilarious. I feel intellectually stimulated after watching.

Getting caught up. Just finished S02E14. First episode of the season that stood out to me and made me lol quite a bit.

Lesson Zero maybe aside, that's my favorite so far too.

Finale was quality. As with Nightmare Moon and Discord there wasn't much of a proper boss fight, and there were a couple minor oddities (Spike talking about a bachelor party AFTER they get married wtf?), but some of the songs were pretty epic and it felt just right in duration.
