Yup. The show's good. The characters have distinctive personalities and the episodes are memorable, so anyone who's watched the show can bring that to the pictures.

Pretty amazing that the community has stayed this active. The last episode of Season 1 aired way back on May 6th!

To their credit, I think the writers weren't the ones who wanted Celestia to be "Princess" - that was a Hasbro thing.
"Princess" Whatever is more marketable to the show's other audience.
(Similarly, it's the reason why Celestia is pink in the merchandise, and why Pinkie is the one who appears on a lot of other products, such as toothpaste. Lauren Faust reportedly wanted to make a show that had female characters who weren't just shallow stereotypes. Then the marketing executives weighed in. OMG PINK THINGS EVERYWHERE!!!!)
