Yet 22,000 of the views are not.
This thread has 44 views per post. ATOT may not be into collecting and posting pics of ponies, but they do seem to enjoy looking at them.

It's said as a humorous in-joke, genuis. Everyone daww's at Fluttershy, so saying 'Fluttershy is mai waifu' is just a shorthand way of saying, "I ,too, have watched the series and find that Fluttershy is moe as hell."

Using tags as light by-play is a well-established meme on Anandtech.

It ain't the rest of the world that's gone down the tubes, it's just you who've fallen way behind the times.
Catch up or get back to your soap operas and prune juice, grandma. You can pronounce that your static frame of reference is the only frame of reference, but the rest of the world is just gonna keep moving along, paying you no mind.

After several complaints about posts similar to these in the Ponies thread, the admins have looked over it and have decided it's too much. Although most of us find the pony thing to be... weird, the posters are behaving themselves and aren't causing any other problems. So we're treating it the same as we do any other TV show thread, which is to say we're going to be taking a hard line against thread crapping or otherwise antagonizing the fans.

So from hereon out please stop the thread crapping. If any of you can't make a meaningful (and for lack of a better word, happy) contribution, we must ask that you say out of the thread.

i need good images of all the main ponies suitable for turning into jack-o-lanterns.

I know, I prefer to post these as 8-bit color PNGs. It saves a lot on filesize versus 24-bit PNG, and it's not JPEG. 😛 That gradient in her hair is what kind of makes the 8-bit PNGs fall short. It also didn't get the usual cleanup - compression artifacts exist in large flat areas, which the downsampling exacerbates.


But in any case, that's the expression I wanted there. 😉

here's what i got so far.

pinkie pie (being pinky pie) - with scrawled text: "Party?"

fluttershy (yay image) - "yay"

rainbow dash - "20% cooler \n (at least)"

gotta figure out the rest of them

For Applejack, how about her bucking? I have two examples, and they seem like they'd be easy enough to carve.

Twilight is probably best served by one of her facial expressions, if you can carve it. The one below has the "hmmmmm" look as well as a book, another Twilight identifier.

For Rarity I don't have any suggestions. Maybe give her a needle and thread?

For spike, if you're using him, the obvious choice is tophat and moustache.

Pinkie should have really big cheeks and an embarrassed grin, and right next to the pumpkin, place an empty bowl with some candy wrappers scattered around it. (Glue down of course, so they don't blow away.)
