Some in-jokes. In one episode, the character Applejack was nicknamed Appletini. Apparently both are names of some kind of mixed drink.

Other bonus: Twilight Sparkle's number in a race was 42.

One of the characters also employed "Yadda-yadda-yadda" at one point.

It's not on the level of Animaniacs (yet) in terms of little in-jokes for any adults who might be watching, though the show's creators are apparently now aware of their show's secondary audience.

And there are plenty of potentially amusing frames for captioning.

actually, Applejack is technically a specific way of distilling alcohol from apples (involves jacking, which is freezing) its a straight drink, most similar to brandy but with apple flavors...

Are you guys actually watching this? I have no problems at all watching kids cartoon is there is indeed something there for me to enjoy. I still like Batman TAS, Superman TAS, Animaniacs and more and would gladly watch them. I even understand the zany appeal of Spongebob Squarepants, seriously it can be fun to watch. Is there actually anything in this show though??
