I got a Kindle, and I've already got some quality reading material on there.
can anyone tell me if I should just start from the 1st episode of 1st season or maybe skip the 1st seasons because it's not worth watching?

Some will recommend the pilot because it explains the characters most directly, but a lot think that it's a bit boring (I love it, mostly because it shows a previously nerdy possibly-autistic pony and her development of understanding friendship, although as others pointed out it the could have been fleshed out further). I think Dragonshy, Sonic Rainboom, Party of One, and Lesson Zero would all be good starting episodes, a bit more action and/or comedy oriented than the average and the kind of episodes that anyone could watch without guilt were they Spongebob or something instead.

Yep. It is pretty excellent. Not the greatest thing ever, but very enjoyable. It is mostly awesome to find something so enjoyable in a place you wouldn't expect it. A product placement show for girls? This has awful written all over it, but MLP surprises big time
how exactly does live action and CGI fest fit together? CGI is most definitely not "live action".

New episode was underwhelming. I liked the ending, but... eh. Probably the worst episode so far.
