Ah Yes. 1.6GHz P4 @ 3.65GHz.............................

Nice... Windows ME though...yeecchhh.

I've got my 1.6A on the way...I'm shooting for 2.4ghz with a 150mhz FSB..

Who really cares. Thoseare simple examples of physics at work, not useful applications of computing. Let's see a fully loaded system with off the shelf parts that can run real applications besides CPUID at 3.7GHz. That would be noteworthy.

big deal, you cant do anything else but run cpuid so to me that is worthless. Although it does show off how fast the p4's will eventually be

Already done that with my Malay 1.6A. 🙂 Run very nicely at 2.4GHz@1.65V, just with retail HSF.

It can do more but my 2 Kingston (Nayna chip) 256MB DDR RAM aren't very happy running at anything above 154MHz.

Finally I can get rid of my noisy AMD rig and enjoy the silence at night.

i have reason to believe it's easier booting into a "dos" based OS like win9x or ME than it is an NT based one like 2k or xp

still tho - big deal...i can oc and beat the crap out of my hardware while only being able to run CPUID for 2 min. and take a screenshot of it.

too much time? - lack of enjoyable hobbies? - prepubescence?

Man, that is impressive.

LN2=Cheating

Perhaps but it also shows that the Northwood core has plenty of room to scale in terms of MHz. I doubt that any Palomino could reach that high even with all the cooling in the world.

i was going to jump out of my seat... until i saw LN2.

who runs that?

🙂

watercooling ... i can understand... but LN2?
how much do they cost anyhow?

damm... so tempting.
