So, I tried to unlock my pipes on my POS o wait my PNY 6800. I unlocked and then restarted and my comp would just go into a cycle of restarts, Yippe! I have to reformat, Yipee!

Do I have to uninstall the drivers before unlocking the pipes come on I am sure some of you have done this!

I t wouldnt hurt...when I had my BFG 6800nu, I would always uninstall, then boot safe mode, run driver cleaner, then reboot and install new drivers, then restart again🙂

It cant hurt to try 🙂

You dont have to format the whole hard drive!!!!

All you do is go in to control panel > add/remove programs..then uninstall the Nvidia display driver🙂

No need to reformat and reinstall windows

 
No, lol, thats not what I was talking about.

I thought you had to uninstall the drivers and then unlock pipes. Last time I unlocked the pipes I had to reformat my computer.
 
I can't imagine formatting solving this problem.

You said you tried the mod and then this?
seems to me like the card needs to be reverted back to stock for the time being. if you can't without it crashing, then the card is junk. 🙂
