The I/O shield you may be stuck without, as they generally are specific to that motherboard. You can find fan screws at a small, local PC shop. If you want to go online, then newegg or www.cyberguys.com should have what you're looking for.

I had a K7T and had the same problem, but found one at a local shop. Lemme go see if the back plate is still around.

Send an email to MSI and tell them you need a replacement I/O shield for your mobo. Sometimes they will send you one for free or a small fee.

Someone here mentioned making one out of aluminum foil, but I have no idea how well it worked for him.

Make one from cardboard or tablet backing and then cover it with aluminum foil and install it with the foil to the inside of the case. You can tape it in place inside the case. Make sure any loose aluminum foil (where you cut openings for com ports, etc) are taped down, you don't want any shorts. HTH..............

Just be careful when plugging things in, and for little fingers. I suggest you postion the computer in such a way that you can see the back of it when plugging in cables. I have setup a couple systems without the backplate as well. Don't like it, but didn't have a choice.

you should be able to get one of those at any pc shop, it's pretty standard. it's when the board manufacturers start moving things around that they get harder to find.

You don't need an IO shield. Run without it. You don't need special fan screws. Pickup a couple machines screws/bolts from the hardware store. 10-20 cents. Or heck, run over to Best Buy or Microcenter and pay $5 for the real ones.

This was more true for P2 and P3 era motherboards -- over the last 3 years everyone has been adding extra LAN, USB, and audio ports in addition to the standardized keyb/mouse/printer/base USB.

The shield you'd get at a PC shop could be modded with a deremel though.
