It is so sweet when the computer is fresh. Everything loads exactly when I click. I usually format every 6 months but this time it has been a year...so it is extra sweet. And Texas beat K State so today is most excellent.

Hehehe. yeah, before college I formatted every 2 months or so.

Now...it's something like twice a year...if I'm lucky.

I'm not a nerd like that anymore. I haven't reformatted since I first installed Windows 2000, probably over two years ago. Then I got XP. I thought about reformatting, but then I decided to see what happened if I just put the disc in and let it do the upgrade-install. Call me lazy, but it worked, and it's still working, so I'm just letting it go. It would be such a PITA to download everything again and re-install it all.

Well, I probably just lost everyone's respect who reads this, but what are you gonna do?

I usually reinstall every 3-4 months, but haven't since april (which only happened because an IBM HD crashed). I've been thinking I should maybe format here pretty soon, but the thought of reinstalling everything scares me.

I tried a fresh install of Win98 on an 8.4Gb HD in our family system ($15 upgrade from 2x 2gb, 1x 1gb)..Win98 won't install..gets to 100% 'preparing', then freezes...tried ghosting the HD and installing Win2k, and it can't find NLTR (or whatever it is...can't remember) on boot...bah.

So, looks like I won't have a fresh install on this system for a while :p

I reformatted alot when I used windows. Now that I use Linux, all I have to do is wipe my home directory and everything is fresh again :)

Last few times I've formatted, I've noticed a lot of slowdown and general buginess. What's the deal?
