Enough Already Of `Millionaire;' Another Twist On `Average Joe'

Already more popular among dating shows with "Joe" in the title is "Average Joe" (NBC, 9:30 p.m.), with 3.4 million viewers last week. It's not having its finale this week, but is stretching the show to 90 minutes anyway.
The twist you could see a mile away finally came last week when the final three average dudes, feeling pretty good about themselves about lasting so long with the cute cheerleader Melana, were crestfallen to see three buff dudes waltz in to crash their party.
There was no mistaking the huge smile that came across Melana's face, though. "These guys may be physically better looking," she allows, nearly fainting when they show off their six-packs in a shirts and skins game against the schlubs that they quickly dub "The Three Stooges."
Even so, she adds in tonight's episode "they're not going to get any special treatment from me, just because they're hot."
The Stooges have their own nasty comments about the intruding studs, as when Adam refers to one's looks as "Joe Millionaire on crack."
But even as Melana is turned off by two of them, she falls pretty hard for one vacant-looking guy, whose career desire is to become a TV weatherman. Still, she has to ask the well-dressed guy, "Do you like just women?"
An even better twist is in the cards for "Average Joe," as they hint they'll turn the tables on the guys and see how they'll react to Melana when she's hidden in a fat suit.
