I have a Gigabyte GA-60XT PIII Mainboard, and I am trying to install/work a Hercules 3D Prophet 45000 TV-Out 64MB RAM. It seems that the AGP card or slot is not responding at all, despite the fact that the fan is running on the AGP card (which proves that power is getting somewhere)

I tries different monitors to no avail but when I tried them on my Geforce 2MX card they work without a problom, is there something wrong with the card or something?

Can any of you help me? Thanks

Sounds like the Hercules card is broken. I'm assuming the Geforce2 MX works in the Gigabyte mobo?

Well not exactly, My geforce 2mx is integrated into my MSI K7N-420D Pro MOBO, so I couldn't know, Are u assuming that it might have something to do with the AGP, that's what I thought at first, but I would assume that if the fan is running on the card that means its getting power through the agp slot. I am thinking that the card graphics chip is dead for some reason. but I am not sure.

any other suggestions?

thanks

<< did you disable onboard video in the bios? >>

I disabled on board video and installed the kyro card in my MSI K7N 420D Pro mainboard and no luck, the gigabyte GA-60XT has no onboard video, and it did not work in there too.

I saw a post on another forum that with Kryo card installed, theres no 4X choice in bios, meaning moboard
couldn't recognize it as such.
try to run straight 2X - bios/software

Q: I have a Video Memory option in my BIOS that I can set to UC or USWC. What should it be set to?

* The majority of motherboards will fail to boot into windows with a KYRO and USWC turned on. Other motherboard will boot into windows but crash when you load D3D or OpenGL, because of this we advise the use of UC for increased compatibility. Imagination Technologies is working on making the KYRO more compatible with this option.

* The Neon 250 can not use USWC and should run with UC instead.

My kyro card worked fine for a couple of hours before it ended up giving me no more signal to the monitor, even on the agp 4x setting, but anyway I booted in to bios with a very old pci graphics to do 2x speed for the agp and taking the pci out, but same thing happens

Buy the way I don't no what this means but I seem to have found something else on my monitor, instead of saying "no signal input", i am now getting a message which says:

"signal out of range 13.5 KHz (varies) 30 (downwards) H Hz"

Now I don't know what this means, but is the card causing this message? and what does it mean?

I sure its not the monitor as its working on all my other PC's

Thanks

It means the card is outputting some kind of signal, but it's out of the range of signals that your monitor can display.

Sounds like the card is bad.
