I have an a7v that has been having some problems booting. I haven't been able to have it post, it just continously beeps. I have just read somewhere that taking the agp pro tab out of the agp port, then you will be forced to only use an agp pro video card. I have done this on accident *too excited to not do that*.... Is this all true?

Im 99.9% thats not true... the tab is there to make sure you put the card in correctly.

The Tab is there to protect your cards.

Those extra pins are all "hot" power pins (that's what the AGP Pro spec is, is additional power pins), so if you plug a card in wrong and line up some pins where they shouldn't be you could fry some data lines.

That's exactly what I thought, just had to make sure (so I could have some clue as to why that mobo isn't working!@$#). Thanks though.
