AGP or PCI-E?

How do these cards compare to each other? AGP is slightly cheaper but the ability to upgrade with PCI-E in the future would be nice. I probably wouldn't upgrade for a couple of years though. I don't need the latest and greatest frame rates or resolutions, and I want to keep the price of the card below $150.

Performance wise, I believe both cards are close. However, I'd go with X700 Pro, especially since you say you don't need the latest and greatest and will provide you with a viable upgrade path down the line.

Here we go... My "budget" system is getting more and more expensive...

I'm thinking the 6600GT would be a better buy. Does MSI make a good card? Would I be better off with the Leadtek?

I agree, the x700 pro is a great budget card for just a little more than a 9800 pro.
