AGP Lifespan?

I see alot of you getting (Intel)Socket 775, (AMD)Socket 939, and (AMD)Socket 754 motherboards with the AGP architecture. I thought almost everyone would be switching to PCI Express? How long do you guys think AGP will last till PCI Express finally takes over? Also how long will AGP still be considered "good"?
 
another year or two. the 6800 gt (and ultra i think) and x800xt are the best agp cards that will ever be produced, when they become old so will agp. until then we're good, dun worry be happy bro =]
 
ATI's 850 comes or will come in AGP, I believe. also read on the inquirer that ATI recgonizes that the AGP upgrade market is large and wil be around for a few years so maybe 1 more new gen card and if we're lucky an refresh.
 
PCI-e has better potential speeds but that doesn't mean there's anything on the market now or upcomming that can take advantage of the higher bus rate.
I think once the CPU and Memory barriers are first conquered you can start worrying about how to make the GPU fast enough to take full advantage of PCI-e.
In this scenerio you're talking at leat 1-2 genereations in the future before AGP is finished. (My guess is probably longer than that)

As a side note, AGP has been out for quite some time, and it's only been recently PCI has really died out.
