AGP GART Settings

For some reason when I updated to the Catalyst 4.7 drivers, when I open the control panel and go to the "AGP/GART" tab it tells me my current agp speed is "off" and that fast write is disabled. Is it lying to me? I havent seen any significant performance drop that would indicate this but I have seen a performance drop.

Also now when ATI Tool loads on windows startup, I get an error saying "This program requires hardware with atleast vertex shader 1.1". WTF I have a Radeon x800 pro.

On the flip side, games seem to work without any problems, and I suspect the performance drop Ive seen is because ATI Tool will not load and allow my overclock settings for the video card to load.

Anyone have any thing on this?

Also, with a 256mb AGP Video card, what "AGP Aperature" settings should I set it at.

You need to reload your motherboard's chipset drivers. AGP being turned off is the cause of the performance drop. You may also need to reload DX9.

I would leave the AGP aperture at 128MB.
