Hello,

My Geforce3 Ti500 finally died after 5 faithful years and I was wondering what kind of Nvidia AGP card I need if I decide in the future to get a Dell 2005FPW? It has to be Nvidia because of the better Linux support over ATI.

On the Dell website it only lists two Nvidia AGP candidates that the 2005FPW supports:

6800 256MB which I can't even find on Newegg.
6800 GTO which I've never heard of nor can find.

Would a 6600GT be good enough for me? Do I need 256MB or is 128MB good enough?

I'm not interested in buying a new motherboard just for PCI express so it has to be AGP and Nvidia :)

Thanks.

Any Nvidia card you can buy should be fine but I recommend getting a card with a DVI port and avoiding the FX series if you want to play games

the 6600GT would be great and 256mb of vram is not needed so don't bother paying much extra for it
