Basically I have an x850 xt pe AGP grfx card which I don't feel like replacing anytime soon, but i also wanted to upgrade to AMD 64, preferably socket 939. Problem is it has to have AGP and I haven't found alot (Europe) of motherboads that offer that. I will need to get motherboad, CPU, RAM, heatsink and PSU, and my budget is abuot ?700-?800. Any quick suggestions? This will be a gaming PC. Thanks for any help! :)

Just about any NF3 board will work, and the VIA chipsets are about as good. Someone just recomended the Asus A8V to me, looks like a good board, and sells for $88.

AsRock SATA2 has both AGP & PCI-e.
Great for now & later if you wish to upgrade to an X2.

If you can't get that one, the MSI Neo2 Platinum would be my second recommendation.

The ASRock has a few problems that need to be worked out. And there are a lot of people that say the MSI boards aren't stable. Hear-say, but it's all I have to go on.

ECS (Elite Group) boards should be fairly available in Europe:

NFORCE3-A939 (AGP)

755FX-A939 (AGP)

K8T890-A (PCI Express + AGP Express)

All support up to Athlon 64 X2 4800+ (dual core).

hmmm the K8T890-A sounds very appealing, but I can't seem to find it under ECS, only Abit, Asus and Epox ones. Which one would you recommend? I might just get a board that just has AGP, and then when I have the money upgrade the graphics card and motherboard to get a PCI-X one.
