I am debating the AMD vs the Intel battle. If i go amd i get the nForce2 board and 8x AGP for future upgrade. If i get intel (what i really want) based on the i845 chipset i can't find the 8x AGP. Will it play a big role to have the 8X when games need the extra bandwith to graphics card. If i overlooked a motherboard based on the i845 chipset with 8x agp please help me out. I would prefer Asus or Abit but kickin around ideas.

Thanks

Games probably won't use 8X agp bandwidth for 2 more years. Even when they do I doubt they will use all of it. I wouldn't worry about it and go Intel if that's what you want. 4x agp is going to be more than enough for a while, and when the time comes you think it absolutely neccessary for 8X, you'll prolly want another setup anyway.

Don't sweat it, go for what you really want.

Good thing about going with nforce2 (MCP2-T) is that ya don't have to worry about buying a PCI sound card. In that sense, along with other great features, nforce2 (MCP2-T) is the perfect platform to build upon. Abit NF7-S Revision 1.2 being the most impressive IMO.;)
