It seems my computer consistent glitches and crashes in 2d and 3d everyonce in awhile while running in AGP2x, it goes away when i change it to 1x

on a kt7.
Not sure if this should be posted on mobo discussionn or here.

Does anyone have a similar configuration and got their board to run in agp 2x without problems?

Im thinking it maybe just be one of the bios options that doesnt like the Matrox, but hoping someone else has already doen the dirty work.

Did you install the VIA 4-in-1 drivers and install the AGP driver in Turbo Mode? If you do this, you should be able to get it up to 4x and should definitely work better at 2x.

I've only been able to get 2x out of my G400 s/h also. At first it was at 1x. I've tried Matrox's tweak, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm o/c'g mine a little with Powerstrip, maybe that's got something to do with it. Anyway, I've heard there's very little difference between 2x and 4x.

I ddid instal via's agp drivers, on turbo.
Should i reinstall the via drivers after each new video driver i isntall or is one at the beginning fine?

BTW some G400's are only capable of up to 2x (mine is only 2x max)
ithink everything g400 manufactured after december 1999 is 4x capable
