I just bought the agilent artic cooler. is it just me, or does it not seem to fit correctly on the cpu? the base of the cooler is circular, so it does not fit on the rubber spacers which are attached to the cpu. i was just wondering if this would fry my cpu, since the cooler is directly touching the top of cpu. anyone have any experience with this cooler???

The cooler is supposed to directly contact the top of the CPU. The rubber spacers are only to reduce rocking on the top of the CPU which could crack the core. The Arti-Cooler does not sit on these stabilizing pads but AMD has certified it for use with the thunderbird so it must be stable enough that it doesn't need to.

I have the articooler and like it a lot, it runs fairly cool and is quiet. I think the clip could be better designed but I have removed it and reinstalled it a couple of times with no damage. Get the install instructions from the agilent site.
