Guitar can be good. Crank up the volume, add some heavy distortion...

I SUCK at guitar. I have really small hands 🙁

It only takes two fingers for power chords 😀

so what if your husband deosn't approve. you're your own person, do what you damn well please. hell, just try it for a week or two and if you like it then do it. if not, then not your cup of tea. i personally think it'd be really cool if my wife did something like that.

I'm not sure the whole marriage thing is for you...

try finding a womens hockey league (ice or inline). they are usually non-checking, altho' there is still some rough play, and you wear a lot more protective gear so you are less likely to bruise up. its a blast, a great stress reliever, and the women on the teams, for the most part, have great sportsmanship.

Probably an even bigger financial outlay than the derby, though, gear is expensive.

i'm her advocate no the husbands 🙂 i was just saying that she should do want she wants regardless of whether the husband approves or not. i guess her saying her husband did not approve of her getting into the roller derby thing sounded kinda boorish to me.

I would like to join the roller derby because I think it would be a fun way to get out some aggression (even though it may hurt me or another person a tiny bit), but my husband doesn't approve. So, I am looking for another way to take out aggression. Exercise does help me relieve stress, but does little for me when I am mad about something.

Roller derby rocks! Can't wait till March 21st.
Sorry to hear that your hubby doesn't want you to join, I am betting it is a blast.

I am thinking of taking him to a bout and letting him see what really goes down. He may change his mind. I have been on this for like two years. I am a decent skater and am completely unafraid of physical pain.

Anyway, people don't play hockey down here. I've only ever seen one or two hockey games. While I'm sure there are some womens hockey somewhere in a city this big, I doubt it will be cheap, there simply is not many ice rinks around to play at.

I tend to hit things - inanimate objects which happen to be within reach. I've put my fists through windows, wooden doors, random street signs, advertising on trains, etc. I know I shouldn't do it but it stops me hitting random men who happen to be within reach instead. Needless to say I would not recommend this as an anger control strategy. I should probably take up martial arts again - everything tends to fall into perspecive when you've just run five miles on soft sand and now you're about to get the stuffing knocked out of you by a smiling 5ft chinese man who isn't even out of breath.

I usually try to get away from what made me so mad, then I go somewhere quiet and brood over the situation for awhile.

The brat--with a baseball bat? Oh yeah 😎

I was talking about my bass guitar, but yeah, I do that as well. Ramones FTW!

I release my aggression on hookers... lets just say by the time I'm done with them, their farts will sound like a hiss. They seem to love it too so it's win win. 🙂

Killing things in video games.

Beating the shit out of a cushion with my fist until my fist hurts and I start laughing at myself for being an idiot for punching a cushion so hard possibly causing damage to my hand which emotions wouldn't have done oh how I run on.

And when the house is empty. A deep breath followed by the sustained scream of "FFFFFFFFFF......k!!!".
