Their logic also makes zero sense. So it's illegal to keep an animal in captivity, so they come and kill it? WTF.
 
What? It's just a deer. They're like forest rats. Obviously Wisconsin has a problem with deer overpopulation or else they would try to rehabilitate them.

Overpopulation is one thing. I wonder how many other deer they could have killed in the time it took them to stake out this place, perform a raid, etc.

Seems wasteful and over zealous from any angle.

I agree with you there. They're showing entirely too much eagerness to shut down a shelter that does good for the purpose of killing an animal that is nothing if not cute and innocent.
 
Having a law requiring non-rehabilitation of wild animals is one thing, but is it really so urgent that you assault the shelter with armed assault teams?

I have nothing against hunter, killing deer, or w/e.

But if I lived in WI this would severely piss me off. Waste tax money on this bs.

Why not just go and ask (tell) they need the deer as it's illegal. Take a whole one/two people to do this.

Then you got that jackass that compares it to a drug bust, seriously.. Come on now.

All the higher ups that were involved in this should have their asses fired for a blatant misuse of power.
