Thought i would pass this along as it shows the comparisons for GRAW with the PPU and shows him playing in Cell Factor with it on as well.

Warning, you do need a fileshack account to dl these and the vids are pretty damn big. But the Cell Factor Demo is recorded in 1024x768....

If the game is that res then what was that Yahoo thing about saying they had to lower the res to 800x600 or something?

The Cell Factor Demo is pretty amazing. The way the cloth reacts when is shot is great. The rest doesn't feel extra-impressive, though.

Cell factor is more of a demo than what one would see in a real game.

The GRAW videos barely seem to show any improvement. Even teh explosions look very very similar. Either these guys havent utilized teh Physx engine properly or Ageia dudes better search for a new job.

It's a good concept, just not a good application in GRAW as of yet. The graphical improvements are crap compared to the performance decrease. Yes I know it's logical, but it's a bad upgrade for $300. It's just not visually impressive enough yet.

Well I watched the GRAW reg vs. PPU versions so far (CellFactor DLing right now). The differences in the two do not want me to go out and buy a dedicated Aegia PPU. From what I could tell 80% of what was added was just extra effects that didn't really require a PPU to work properly. Sort of like FarCry and the "64-bit" patch.
