Age of Empires II is $37.99 this week at Best Buy, with a $20 mail-in rebate. The Conquerors expansion pack is $17.99, no rebate. Today is the last day on the 20% coupon, which would bring AoEII down to $30.39-20=$10.39, and the expansion pack down to $14.39. Good luck, and may hot deal victory be yours!

Is this a Best Buy rebate or a Microsoft rebate? I bought it for 27.99 a week ago and would like to take advantage of the offer.

Woot! Woot! Best Buy gave me the 20% with no problems, and the cashier actually apologized for it taking so long to punch in the codes. I got Rune for $22 and AoEII for $10 (the latter after rebate).

OK, the questions--
1. It's a Best Buy rebate that prints out at the cash register.
2. The 20% off thread is nearly on top right now. Just search for "Best Buy" if you can't find it. But hurry, it expires today!

I printed my 20% coupon at 600 dpi and cut it out on the black border, so that it looked like a real coupon.

Regular price at BB for AoEII is $39.99, and for the expansion pack is $29.99.
Dig, if you have your receipt, BB will probably refund the difference.

Dig The US$20 rebate on AoEII is from Microsoft. Saw it in Office Max the other day on the box. Best Buy apparently is using their own rebate system for it (but it is still Microsoft). On the Best Buy rebate form it says "offer date 8/10/2000 through 12/31/2002, must be postmarked by 1/31/03!!!" It looks like everyone who bought it in the recent past might be able to ca$h in on this.

If someone can verify, or find the online version of the rebate, we could say for sure you can get some money back.

AOE II rules :) It is slowly taking me away from Q3 and into the strategy gaming scene. I highly recommend it!

CinderElmo, if you find out where an online version of that rebate is, could you email the link to me? Thanks.

Thanks Cremefilled!
I raced over to Best Buy yesterday and barely got there before they closed. Our local Best Buy was out of "the Conquerors expansion pack", but I was glad to get the "Age of Empires" with that extra 20% yesterday. Sorry for others who want the 20% off, that 20% deal is definately over today.

I havent found the $20 rebate form for AOK anywhere online, but my Best Buy rebate DOES say promotion was good starting 8/10/00 so if you bought from anywhere since then it might pay to check on it (and report finding here).

Also on my form is the number for Microsoft Rebate center...it might pay to call them and ask if your purchase qualifies for the rebate and could they please send you the form. 1-800-622-4445.

Good luck!
