Yes, its had 2 DVD for game discs since it began listing. LOTRO did as well. These high-res packs in these massive games will continue to drive storage requirements up. There's also a ton of voice acting in AoC, which also drives up storage reqs.

Pretty crazy... I also remember dropping my jaw the first time we had a PC game that came with two CDs.

Heh ya, I was so glad to see DVD become the standard over the last few years instead of 5-6 disc sets like BG/BG2....unfortunately if you look at how long that took it'll be awhile before we see Blu-Ray discs for games. Also from the latest Steam survey you'll see it'll take awhile before going Blu-Ray makes sense, especially considering it just won the format war and only like 5% of the market has an HD player for movies.

But here's the Steam results. Undetermined is probably Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drives. But clearly DVD is in the overwhelming majority of PCs so it makes sense the industry has transitioned over.

Yup. Good thing too, the downloads keep failing, over and over and over and over and over and over....

Well, just three times so far, but when the 1.9Gb piece that's at 99% suddenly drops back down to 0%, it makes me sad.

Almost done downloading. I'm fairly certain I'll be able to judge whether this game will be worthwhile in three hours so it's worth the temporary lost space on the hard drive.

After hours of installing and updating I finally got a chance to play. I played a grand total of 15 minutes till my rig crashed. I need a new rig before this game comes out.

I got to the party late. But i only got to play for about 5 mins. I wasnt overly impressed with my 5 mins. But if they have a longer extended play period Ill try it out. It had many glitches. I kept trying to create a new chracter but it would tell me it failed and was logged as a "hack" attempt. Like ok. So i tried on a different server and finally got in. But then it was laggy and I only got to swing at 1 enemy, once, before it lagged out and i called it a day.
